Walde, Inc. FilmStar 20K Pro in full production at two central labs on the East Cost.

Walde, Inc. is happy to announce that the FilmStar 20K Pro system is in full production scanning at a record setting speed of over 27,000 frames/hour.  Walde believes this to be the FASTEST 4BASE FILM SCANNER IN THE WORLD at this point in time.  Current 16Base speed is running at 14,000 frames/hour and is expected to reach 18,000 frames/hour by PMA, 2005.  The completion of the VariLineScan (patent pending) software was critical in enabling the extremely fast scan speed of the 20K Pro system.  Walde plans to demonstrate the 20K Pro system at PMA, 2005 with a sales emphasis on providing the lowest cost/roll film conversion equipment for the wholesale photofinishing market.  As the consumer industry slowly weens away from analog film, Walde welcomes the challenge of offering a low-cost, high-quality system capable of scanning all roll volume in the central lab environments.  Walde is also looking forward to offering the FilmStar 20K Pro system to the motion picture industry, an industry where the need for high speed, high quality  film scanning is on the rise.  The MSRP of the complete FilmStar 20K Pro system is about $150,000 depending on options.  Walde is also offering slightly used FilmStar 15K systems for an unbelievably low and attractive price (contact Walde for details).  The slower, yet still high quality 15K systems can scan up to 8Base resolution at about 11,000 frames/hour.
